Order Tracking

Checks order status and provides tracking. Use for requests like 'where is my order' or shipping updates.

Pack: E-commerce Operations

Procedure

  1. 1Identify the order: order number, email, or first + last name
  2. 2If the identifier is missing, ask and do not proceed
  3. 3Read status, expected date, tracking code, and carrier
  4. 4Report the expected delivery date and the latest tracking event
  5. 5If delivery is late, offer the refund/replacement path as an option

Rules

  • · Never invent tracking codes or delivery dates
  • · Never promise refunds: propose first, then human approval
  • · Minimal personal data in the summary (name, city, never the full address)

Expected output

One-line order status + tracking table (event, date) + expected delivery date

When not to use it

  • · No connected orders: ask for the order number or purchase email
  • · The customer asks for a return or refund (not tracking: route to Support Agent)

Example requests

«Where did my order #1042 end up?»
