Procedure

  1. 1Confirm the period and KPI list with the owner (or use the default: revenue, orders, cost, margin)
  2. 2Read data from connected sources
  3. 3Compute each KPI over the period and the change versus the previous one
  4. 4Flag off-target KPIs
  5. 5Close with 3 actions, not a repetition of numbers

Rules

  • · Always cite source and period for every figure
  • · No KPI computed on incomplete data without a warning
  • · The report states and proposes, never interprets causes

Expected output

KPI table (value, change, status) + 3 off-target + 3 actions + sources

When not to use it

  • · KPIs undefined by the owner: propose a standard set and ask for confirmation
  • · Single-day data presented as a trend: that is not a trend
